The Open Knowledge Workshop Day on 4 November 2013 was very successful, thank you very much YLE for the great hospitality!
Some of the event highlights were:
- Adam Shorland & Katie Filbert gave a hands-on introduction session to Wikidata (Etherpad here, Prezi here). During the session the participants discovered that Finland was mostly a black hole in Wikidata domain and during the day some progress was already made to change this.
- Joonas Pekkanen introduced the D-CENT project
- We got a sneak preview of the new version of Kansanmuisti which has been under development for a couple of years. To be published soon!
- There was an intense discussion around the topic of metadata and many new ideas for collaborations were born (unfortunately no meeting notes available of this)
More meeting notes can be found from the event’s Etherpad page. Thank you very much for all the 40+ participants!
